Born 1952 in Thessaloniki. Studied architecture (1970-1973), education (1976) and cinematography (1976-1977) in Paris. Has been teaching since 1978.
Since 1976 has worked as director, producer and screenplay author for cinema and television productions, contributing to the creation of scores of full-length and short films with Greek and European artists, television series, documentaries and art programmes.
Has worked in video art since 1983. Has participated in numerous group exhibitions and festivals and organised many events. Head of the ESTET Festival on New Technologies since 1988.
His Klepsydra came out of a single meeting with Kostis Moskoff in Cairo in 1998, and is dedicated to his memory. It may be seen as a commentary on the artist's acquaintance with Moskoff's work from 1975 in Paris until their one meeting.
